As part of its 100th anniversary celebrations, Museum Ratingen presents an exhibition, this autumn, featuring photographs by Elger Esser. In his atmospheric landscape photographs, Esser explores the connection between photography, painting, and history. His images invite us to slow down and look at familiar places in a new way

The exhibition brings together a selection of recent works–including sculptures, paintings, drawings, and two audiovisual pieces. These works draw the viewer's gaze into the depth of black and the striking visual effect to fluorescent light.

Siyavash Ghassemzadehgan (b. 1981, Teheran) explores the transcendence of material and spirit through sculpted wings. Crafted from geopolymer, each wing's form is uniquely shaped by the unpredictable nature of the material, symbolizing humanity’s yearning for divinity and self-expression.
