The exhibition traces the changes in representations and the comprehension of nature throughout more than 500 years of art history.
It includes botanical studies of the 19th century from the museum’s collection as well as Liliane Tomasko’s colourful still life paintings, Bernd Koberling's abstractions of nature and photographic documentation of urban decay and the reconquest of cities by nature.
With further works by artists like Hans Holbein, Max Ernst, William Kentridge, Joan Jonas, Christiane Löhr, and many more. Find out more on the Kunsthalle Karlsruhe website.
