Bernd Koberling’s ‘Das momentane Stillstehen der Kieselsteine im Flug’ is part of the Sprengel Museum’s summer show, which focuses on spectacular large scale works from the museum's collection. Ranging from colour field painting and geometric abstraction to expressive figuration, photorealism and landscapes, the exhibition, curated by Reinhard Spieler, encompasses more than 30 works by artists like Georg Baselitz, Helen Frankenthaler, Katharina Grosse, A.R. Penck or Rosemarie Trockel.
