For the second edition of the Oka-Noto Triennale 2020+, an art festival that joins local culture and contemporary art, Kimsooja has commissioned two site-specific installations.
With To Breathe: Mirror, 2021, the Korean artist constructs a parallel dimension to the visible horizon of Cape Wanizaki. With multiple mirrors, one can face the sea by both sides and reflect about immensity from a very special state of encounter with nature.
'To Breathe: Suzu', 2021 creates a connection through the glass appearing to be here an intimate approach to human's relation with the environment and the processes and progressions of change.
