Liliane Tomasko's first exhibition in Rockland County since moving there in 2015 offers a glimpse into her creative process, the starting point of which is the abstraction of the folds of an unmade bed. The show at Rockland presents twelve spray painted bedlinens, representing twelve nights and the unconscious movements induced by as many dreams.
“I like the metaphorical quality of the crumpled sheets: the body, passion, restlessness, sleep, the pattern of days, even to make each day as we make the bed.”
