KIMSOOJA AT BOURSE DE COMMERCE – PINAULT COLLECTION, PARIS, FRANCE

Kimsooja, invited to a carte blanche, has inverted the space in the Rotunda of the Bourse de Commerce with her astounding installation 'To Breathe – Constellation'.
Echoing the philosophy of Tadao Ando and his pursuit of an architecture embodying emptiness and infinity, Kimsooja has covered the floor of the Rotunda with a mirror. Boundaries blur, and the sky appears to dissolve into the glass dome, reshaping our perception of space and challenging our sense of the gravitation of bodies.

- KimsoojaThis intervention is part of the exhibition 'Le monde come il va' where a collection of iconic works from the Pinault Collection are showcased throughout the museum. This exhibition forms a captivating spiral, where images interact, converse, and magnify one another, emphasising François Pinault's dedication to contemporary art.
Kimsooja also takes over the 24 display cases in the Passage and the lower level of the museum, showcasing works and video installations that explore the themes of identity, borders, memory, exile, movement and weaving.
