Kimsooja at the Pushkin Museum, Moscow, Russia

Affinités Insolites, 9 Nov 2021 – 6 Feb 2022

Kimsooja's installation 'To Breathe: Mandala" from 2010 is part of the exhibition "Odd Convergences" at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow, Russia.

Bringing together more than 400 works of art and objects from natural history; masterpieces from the museum's collection but also artworks from over 50 museums and private collections, this exhibition proposes a game: to approach the history of art by blurring the lines of time and space. A classical piece is juxtaposed to a contemporary artwork by an association of idea or form.

The exhibition is co-curated by Jean-Hubert Martin and Alexandra Danilova, Head of the Gallery os 19th and 20th Century European and American Art and The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.
