Leiko Ikemura, Los Espantos

Since the 1980s Leiko Ikemura has created an extensive range of works, embracing drawings, paintings and sculptures, and in the 1990s particularly, developing an extraordinary metaphorical language through cosmic landscapes and depictions of indistinct and timeless female figures. The exhibition "The Haunted" shows works by Ikemura between 2008-2013, with a tribute to Francisco de Goya and his representations of female historical figures through paintings, sculptures, photographs and watercolours.
